Position transmitters are used to provide feedback on piston movement in pneumatic drives. They are situated between simple cylinder switches and expensive displacement encoders, both in terms of price and complexity. They are the ideal solution for applications in which reliable analogue feedback on the piston stroke is required with high repetition accuracy, such as in press-fitting, screwing, riveting, ultrasonic welding, good/bad selection and other applications.
