TeSys island bus coupler, point of connection between a TeSys island configuration (group of starters) and an automation system over PROFIBUS DP. It performs all functions for the application (TeSys avatars), selectable and configurable through SoMove or MachineExpert. For diagnostics and maintenance of the TeSys island, a web server (OMT) is embedded. To be supplied externally by 24V DC, it provides one D-Sub port for PROFIBUS DP, one RJ45 service port over Ethernet, one micro SD card port, and a port for the internal bus interconnecting the modules of the island. Mounting on DIN rail, together with the other modules of the TeSys island configuration, the bus coupler is the module on the most left position. External power switching devices could be controlled if associated to a digital IO module TPRDG4X2. It provides motor protection functions including thermal overload (setting 0.18-9A, tripping class 5-30), phase loss, phase unbalance and reversal, long start (stall), locked rotor (jam), rapid cycle lockout, ground current detection. Monitoring of the load includes max/average voltages and currents, number of faults, active and reactive power/energy when associated to a TPRVM001 voltage module. TeSys island voltage interface module, 100-690V / 47-63Hz. Connected to a TPRBC bus coupler it measures the mains voltages powering the loads. It provides the voltage values for power and energy calculation, calculates the RMS values and phase sequence. Voltage measurement range 100-690 V +/- 5 %, phase frequency measurement range 47-63 Hz +/- 1 Hz in single phase or 3-phase systems.
